In 2007, xpedx U.S. became the first paper merchant to be nationally certified for Chain of Custody to standards established by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). In 2008, xpedx U.S. expanded its certification to include the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC).
